Walk by faith

"If I walk by sight, I might try to be so careful that I miss a step but if I walk by faith, I KNOW that I KNOW even when I miss a step or even stumble, He will pick me up and place my feet on solid ground because Jesus never fails those who put their trust in Him."

The Mirror...

In the natural a mirror reveals the outer appearance with no lie, no cover up,
(the good, the bad and the ugly ~ whether we like it or not) and based upon that reflection, corrective measures can be taken to polish,to soften that image...
To capture the beauty of the inner person, to expose the inner scars, wounds and imperfections and receive a makeover….
Q: Where can we look?...
A:>into God's mirror --> The Word of God:

"For the Word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

Put up a FIGHT!!!!

"A Person who does not PRAY is an easy PREY to the enemy." (my saying...)

FORGIVEN

She was promiscuous and her life story
was maybe like a bestseller
read from cover to cover and
shame was her only garment
but one day she heard that
there was a Man in town
who could restore her broken soul,
a Potter who could mold her into a vessel of honor...
And in tears, she felt at his feet with a silent song from within..."As I am with nothing to me.." and worshiped and something happened...LOVE lifted her!

Mary Magdalene ~ the Redeemed!!!

"as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:12

"Whatever the offense, His Grace is more than enough... Come unto Him just as you are."

The power of prayer....

No one is a firmer believer in the power of prayer than the devil; not that he practices it, but he suffers from it. ~Guy H. King

No weapon....

Have you ever read that.... No WEAPON (meaning no lie, no plot,no scam,no evil) formed against you shall prosper ...you know WHY....because ALL things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.

7000 club.... You are not the only One...

God has accomplished mighty works through Prophet Elijah
and in a moment of weakness and maybe (of self-righteousness),
he thought that he was the only ONE..
the only “Preacher” left on the block
maybe it's our assumption when people do not sound or look like us..
and he wanted to break out the NEWS to God (who is All Omniscient) then he found out..I reserve 7000 in Israel—all whose knees have not bow to Baal."~ OUCH….

The life journey

The life journey is similar to that stage
where a person must perform day after day,
she gives it her ALL,
she does not let the applause take her focus away
nor does she take offense at any criticism;(mistakes/faux pas/success)
she uses it all as a fuel to bring out the best in her,
because she knows that she got IT..
No time for pity party..
She knows that it's in her for a purpose driven life..

You are who He says You are

"The angel of the Lord greeted him & said…Mighty man of valor… but when the assignment was given to Him, he introduced himself as the least in his family and he was finally convinced that he was the man for the job after putting God to the test…
I do not think that he doubted God but he doubted HIMSELF,he could not see himself in such role.~If God chooses you for a task,He has ALSO equipped you for excellence.."
You are what God says, you are ....
MIGHTY MAN/WOMAN of VALOR....
not what your circumstance or surrounding may say....!!!
So believe in yourself ~ believe the COACH...
Gideon ~ you can do ALL things through Him!!!

I wonder if Jonah would go to Nineveh.....my bad... Haiti

The word of the LORD came to Jonah son of Amittai: 2 "Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me." Jonah 1:2

But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. Jonah 1:3

But Jonah was greatly displeased and became angry. 2 He prayed to the LORD, "O LORD, is this not what I said when I was still at home? That is why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. 3 Now, O LORD, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live." Jonah 4:1-3

Haiti a little Island in the Caribbean,
A former French Colony who fought and
Became the first black Republic,
Haiti, also known as the Jewel of the Antilles,
Haiti, my beloved country,
Who has been labeled more than any product on the market…
Who has been scrutinized more than any virus ever discovered…
Labels: The poorest country in the West Hemisphere,
The people who practice Vodou and roots,
And some would even go further to say,
That she signed a pact with the enemy when she gained her freedom…
Haiti, ma cherie…. Je sens ta douleur…
She has seen the death of her children,
She has seen their blood run like a water stream in the streets,
And has buried them in masses…
Haiti, she is so strong,
She has seen tornadoes, embargo,
But she is a Survivor,
A catastrophic earthquake,
But hope is still running in her vain,
Faith is still crying from within the rubble…
They labeled her children, Boat people,
As they embarked by the thousands to look for a better life overseas,
And some perish in the raging waters,
And did not live to see the dream,
And yet she holds on…
She has seen her children fighting each other
and discord was the rule to power...
And yet she stands tall...
There is a remnant that believes in the True Living God…
And what the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it around…
Haiti ma Cherie, ne pleure pas…
Seche tes larmes, Famn vanyan… ,
Tu seras encore la Perle des Antilles…
God has the final word and we declare that every yoke is broken,
Every bondage is lifted in the name of Jesus…
Haiti, tu souriras encore…

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Bittersweet Memories

A story in the making....

I grew up in a country where life was not easy but in the meantime it used to be my paradise.

I still have the vivid images of the blue ocean, I can still hear the song of the birds in the early morning, I can hear the merchants going down the street and saying: “men machan akasan, akasan cho” or “ze bouyi (boiled eggs), men bel fig” (bananas) then you knew it was time to wake up…… Akasan it is a type of corn that has been processed to the texture of oatmeal and is mixed with milk, sweet spices and is a very part of our breakfast culture; almost as important as coffee..

My family and i lived in Port-au-Prince, which is the Capital. I enjoyed the countryside (Jacmel) where i would go spend the summer with my uncle and aunt and have fun with my cousins.

Their house was located on top of a hill and i could just wake up and admire the nature which would smile at me, the landscape so panoramic, I would listen to the sound of the river so musical and look at the birds flying together in the blue sky. The trees with their green leaves dancing harmoniously as if they were waving praises to the Creator. You could fill God’s touch in the air, so fresh and pure. It felt so good to feel the wind in your hair like a caress and taking a deep breath and feel Alive.

My aunt would send us to the field, we call it “garden” and it was on the other side of the hill, we could see her and if we forgot what we were to pick up we’ll just ask her, no microphone needed our voices will echo in the valley. We would grab for instance some corn, vegetables and fruit and bring it home while my uncle would go hunting for dinner. It’s their field, don’t need to pay anything it’s harvest time…..I just loved it.

I enjoyed looking at my uncle milking the cow, sounds archaic but so authentic, no chemicals added just boil the milk and add “cannela” for flavor…the good old times…..

I would spend days sitting by the river observing the women wash clothes, soap in their hands and rub the linen together as hard as they could then dip it in the water and rinse it over and over until there was no more trace of soap of dirt then they would just line them up on the rocks and plants along the river for the sun to dry them off. In the meantime their kids would play in the water and try to catch some crawfish. They would go home and come back to pick up the clothes exactly when they were ready, like they had an invisible timer….I guess from doing it so long they knew how long it takes for the sun to perform its duty.

There was no electricity but it was so much fun, that i did not miss having a television set or turning on a light. I enjoy sitting outside with my cousins at night and giving riddles (tire cont), one person would say “krik” and the audience would say “Krak” or “TimTim”, the response “bwa sech” then we would give jokes (blag) and laugh and laugh while the fireflies would patrolling the site. Sometimes my aunt would join us and narrate us a story and it would be so captivating that we would sit still with our ears perked even after the story was over.

We loved being kids and just lay down under an open clear sky and contemplate the glowing moon and try to count the numerous stars. When I was in the City, I never noticed how bright the moon was; but in Summer time in the remote area of Jacmel, I was thankful for the moon at night and it’s like it got brighter and bigger when we would sit outside and telling jokes. When it was time to go to bed, we couldn’t wait to hear the cock crows announcing the morning.

There was so much to do…we thought with excitement in our hearts. I went horse ridding once with my uncle and i was so scared i held on to him with all the strength that i had…it was exciting and scary as we were going up the mountains. We didn’t have indoor plumbing so “if we had to go at night“, We would carry a lamp and it was so dark, that the night felt like a blanket all around and just the sound of the cricket would let you know that you were not sleep walking.

I enjoyed helping my cousins to get water from the “source” and carried the container over our heads.. There were many “sources” next to the river and they were small holes or creek of clearer and fresher water….so it was portable or it had to be. We wake up in the morning and walk down to the river where we washed and swam in the warm, inviting water…the pathway to the river was very narrow with plants on each side and was made by repeated footprints…with dried leaves all over it.

I enjoyed to gather the woods and make the fire, we would have about three big stones to support the pot and the woods in between, once the meal was ready, we removed the pot, took it inside and serve everyone and, we would pour dirt over the fire and only the stones and the ashes would be left…. later for another meal, it would be time to gather some more woods. Maybe some of you experience that when you go camping but for many, it is a daily lifestyle.

Tuesday was market day or “jou mache” and it was fun. It’s like a flea market or open market where any type of livestock, and meat, rice, bread, fruit such as mango, coconut ,avocado and other vegetables are sold and everything would be fresh because the farmers just pick the stuff from their farm, barn. etc….

(Agriculture is an essential part of the country economical life, we grow sugar cane, rice, tobacco, corn…. And later on from my first employment I would learn that we also grow raw materials such as: Vetyver, Amyris and other fragrances oil which come in the preparation of perfumes…)

You could hear the cow, the hen, the goat, the pig as if they were protesting not to be sold to another master. … looking at the merchants mostly females with a scarf around their head and tied on the side, and their skin darkened by the sun but with a gorgeous smile revealing white teeth as they greet their customers. “Beaute creole” Creole beauty, as we often refer to them).

The women in my Country, They are beautiful, hardworking and very hospitable. Some would arrive late to the market carrying their products on their head in a large basket trying to get a spot. Some would have their babies attached to their back while taking care of business. As you pass people along the way, they greet you and inquire about your parents because they know you, your family tree even if you don‘t have a clue of who they are..

Another date I like in the countryside is January 1st commemorating Independence Day, our independence from France, Haiti the first black country to get their Independence. All the families would exchange Yellow Soup or Soupe au Giraumond…because that’s what the slaves shared after they became free. The soup consists of a mixture of beef meat well seasoned, potatoes, yam, and Giraumond which looks like a big pumpkin along with other spices and it tastes delicious.....

to be continued....

The kids would go to the neighbors house wishing happy new year, what we call “swaite la resone” and get some words of blessing from the older folks and get themselves ready to start a new year.

It's the season and the time to birth...

“It is the season to birth the dreams
that have been incubated in the wombs,
to bring to life the vision that have
been nourished in the loins.
Out of our belly rivers of living waters shall flow.
Time to stir up all the treasure and passion
that have been dormant in us and
fulfill the wonderful purpose that
the Creator mindfully designed for us.”

A personal Relationship

Often a person puts on "a religious makeup" to
attend a function (a church service for example) and afterwards
she removes it as she does any other accessory
fake eyelashes ~ nails~ etc)
and her soul is as naked and empty as before
but there is hope for her to wear a garment
of praise,
there is hope for her to be covered by grace,
when in the mirror of the Truth she sees
her scars and allows the WORD to transform her
into that authentic image that she was designed to be.

More than a conqueror

"After He gave up the ghost,
darkness covered the earth
and maybe the enemy thought that it was all over,
that he had the victory but on the third day,
behold the stone was rolled AWAY...
and He ascended heaven with ALL power in his hands...
So even in your darkest season in life,
even in your lowest point...
TRUST in Him even the more and expect
to be better off than you were before... because your Redeemer lives."

Remember

"The enemy is a stalker but remember, a warrant for his arrest was signed over 2000 years ago, meanwhile take cover under the blood of the lamb and be an overcomer."

News Flash

"When the enemy waves your past before you like a flashcard in an effort to disqualify you and make you feel unworthy of God's grace... give him the News Flash: 2 Corinthians 5:17 and stand on the solid Rock of salvation.- and don't take the bait."

Confession!!!

"The flesh can still get goose bumps when reminisces over sin while the spirit man on the other hand is bruised and tortured by the memories, but there is healing through confession; because there is no scar that His grace can't take away, there is no bondage that the power of his blood can't break."

Don't take the BAIT

"The enemy courts with charm, proposes with an offer that one can’t refuse then uses bondage to seal (consummate) the relationship ~ don’t take the bait…wear your vest proof ( JESUS) at all times”

The man in the Mirror

After David slept with another man’s wife,
He thought that he could kill two birds with one stone,
Get the husband killed which would cover up the whole thing
Then “inherit” that woman that he lust so after….
As if the story ended there…
Nobody will ever find out....
As if the plot worked as planned….
So when the prophet went to him
And narrated a story about a man
Who did something evil,
Who had everything at his disposal and deprived a poor man,
Of the most precious asset that he could ever had…
The king was infuriated,
This man deserved to die,
This was PREPOSTEROUS,
The messenger let him vent for a while…
Then he shown him his OWN image in that mirror…
It’s YOU king…
The TRUTH shall set you FREE…
Often we get outraged at someone else’s action
Because there is a camera that takes “great shot” of their imperfections…
And we forget to take a closer look at ourselves
And examine the man in the mirror…
What was so great about David,
Was that when he was confronted with the TRUTH,
He did not wrestle against it…
He did not say “how dare you”,
Don’t you know … who I am…
But he felt to his knees and poured his soul out unto God,
In the confession of Psalm 51...
We are not perfect, we miss the mark at times
But He is a God of mercy,
He is a God of second chances,
Let nobody tell you otherwise…
Just like the prodigal son, run into his arms.
His grace is more than enough...

Perfect Peace....

“As I sit in this cozy little space,
snuggled in a warm little place and
through the window I can observe the weather in fury
and the trees quiver in the cold
and the green of the grass slowly....
disappeared under the rapid snow,
until every house resemble a gray painting
in a faraway gallery,
and I thought to myself……
even when the storm rises in our lives,
even when the waves swirl around us and
the ground shakes from under us and yet we should feel such inner PEACE,
and lean on Him with confidence
and dream dreams with a blanket of hope around us
because we are in the Palm of His hands and rest assured that he will shelter us from harm, because He is a good God .”

How do you plead...

How does the defendant plead: ” I have sinned against you alone…”→ GUILTY… Has the jury reached a verdict…: “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”…. →GUILTY…. What’s the Penalty: Eternal Damnation… but MERCY say NO… John 3:16… →JUSTIFIED….that’s the Truth nothing but the Truth…the Court Disposition →Th...e defendant is free to go and to SIN NO MORE...Amazing Grace!!!

The woman with the Alabaster jar....

I know that I went astray,

And I understand your dismay,

and I may not be the type of woman
that you would introduce to your Mom and Dad,

I know that I searched for love in the wrong places and I am sad,

I know that I have a dark past and I am not to proud of myself
but I found a Man who did... not look down on me,

A man who was not offended by my scars,
And he gave me a second chance and made me believe that I can be

all that He created me to be, He told me that I can be made whole
if I give him the broken pieces and I just came to worship,

please do not despise me ~ Do not hold me captive in the image that I used to be,
don’t you care about my soul ~ He came to set me FREE ~
And I believe that He can...
Please don't take that HOPE away from Me!!!

Leah.... It's complicated!!!

Leah was probably not the best candidate to enter a beauty pageant,maybe growing up she struggled with low self-esteem,depression and just maybe she was always in her sister’s shadow and could not easily get a date and wondered if she would ever found a mate & maybe she was heartbroken because her dad had to trick a man into marrying her but God had her in MIND all along,way before she was formed in her mom's womb to bring forth life with purpose!
Maybe only the pillow knows how much she wept
And wondered what was wrong with her,
why she cannot find a mate or keep one,
And in her case maybe it crossed her mind
That if she was shaped differently,
Like those women on the cover of magazines,
maybe she would be more successful…
Talking about A COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP
She was involved with someone who did not love her,
Who chose her younger sister over her,
The perfect Love Triangle,
So she longed to be loved and understood..
And maybe she said, “why me”…
Maybe she thought that there was a curse over her,
That nobody saw her sorrow but God did…
He gave her double for her trouble,
So if you ever had bad relationships
And are in a “waiting period” keep on trusting him,
Let not your faith be shaken because
He has set a time to bring your way,
Your Eligible Bachelor, your Boaz And meditate on Psalm 37:4

You may not be the first choice that people would go with,
You might have a scar spiritual or physical that is so noticeable
That people would label you or limit your potential
But just know that God created you with purpose
And He has equipped you to live a fulfilled life,
Always remember who you are and allow no bitterness in your heart
But continue to embellish that beautiful inner person that you ARE… God bless!!!

(p.s ...her story can be read in Genesis 29:14-35)

What love got to do with it..... break out of the cycle!!!

She lost her dad when she was an infant and
she always wondered what it would be like
to feel her father’s arm around her ,
or what it would be like to be called Daddy’s little girl.
Her mom raised her on her own and they lived in a little town
where everyone knew each other including each other’s business.
Maybe because she lacked that father figure,
she was always attracted by older man and
she finally got involved with a man who was quite abusive both physically and verbally.
They have been together for about five years….
When they first started to date, he was a charming person, he would send her flowers at work or would surprise her with wonderful presents and no special occasion was needed… but once they moved in together, he revealed his true colors ~ he was very short-tempered and very abusive and shortly after, she found out that he was married but when she addressed the issue, he told her that there was nothing between him and his wife that they were still together because of the kids that they had ….but he promised her that he would divorce his wife and marry her and she believed him year after year.

One day she went to visit her Mom who lived in a Senior citizen community and she noticed some bruises on her neck even though she did her best to cover them up with her scarf and her Mom begged her to leave this man who did not only bruise her physically but emotionally and she promised that she would as she did many times before….while deep inside she knew that she would never have the strength to…. She was a very out going person before she met him but once she got involved with him, her life was very secluded and she barely saw her friends whom she used to be very close to.

One particular Sunday, they had a huge argument because another man smiled at her and held the door for her as they were living a restaurant, (she was a beautiful woman but everyday she was loosing her self confidence and self-esteem because he would always remind her that she wouldn’t look like anything if she was still messing with those guys that she used to… he was breaking her softly mentally and physically ) and that day, he did not hit her but he tore her into pieces with his malicious words and she was on the verge of a breakdown… He dropped her home and before he drove away, he told her that he had enough of her and called her all types of names…

So nervously with tears running down her face and her make-up all messed up almost like her state of mind, she opened the door of her apartment and went directly to her bedroom and sat on the floor. She kicked her high heel shoes to a corner and noticed a box under the bed and she pulled it and a smile brightened her face as she saw a photo album of her College life, so many good memories..... she was about to close the box when she noticed a dusty book and remembered that it was given to her by her Mom at her graduation and the dedication on the right corner, read like this: If you ever lose your way my baby, just open this manual at any page and find your way back… it was a BIBLE… so she opened that book for the very first time in her life… in Psalm 139 and started to read and she wept bitterly; tears of sorrow and joy and the more she read, the hungrier she got and a flood of love and peace invaded her soul and she spent the whole afternoon reading till she fell asleep….

A week later, her boyfriend or "Man" called her to apologize, anticipating to hear the tears and the brokenness in her voice, begging him to come back but at the end of the line was a firm and confident woman who told him that he had enough of the abuse, that she would no longer put up with his manipulation and intimidation tactics and that she was no longer that woman in search of her identity, she had discovered who she was, A Child of the King, fearfully and wonderfully made and that Her heavenly Father loved her, she was not a puppet or a punching bag …And she told him that she would have his stuff on the porch…. A year later, she ran into a High School classmate who was madly in love with her then and they went on a date a couple nights and shortly after they got married and today they are the most loving and beautiful couple that you could ever meet with two adorable children and her Mom was so thrilled that her daughter found TRUE LOVE….

The END

A Praying Mom

She was the life of the party,
She was young, bold and beautiful,
And that night she was heading to a party
And before she left her house several of her male friends
Stopped by, one after the other in a desperate attempt
To be her escort to the party.
She knew that her masculine entourage was captivated by her charm,
And she loved the attention and the flirt that would occur.
She was filled with vitality and her presence was like a gush of fresh air,
Life was grand and she did not have time to be bored.
She was on the scene, in the limelight,
But behind the scenes and on her knees ,
Was a praying mom that would intercede day and night for her daughter.
Her mom would warn her but she only saw
an old lady with the face wrinkled by a hard life,
With an old fashion speech;
and she forgot that her mom used
To be eighteen and young with a keen sense of observation
That night her boyfriend picked her up
And as they were on their way to the party,
Another car ambushed theirs and two masked men,
ordered them to get out of the car, at gunpoint
Her boyfriend was killed with one gun shot,
And she was thrown on the ground
And one of her attackers told her that
He would kill her but slowly and watch
Her beg for mercy until she would fall into the deepest sleep.
She had a vague feeling that this guy was someone that she rejected in the past but she was too disoriented to give that idea too much thought.
He pulled a knife and started to cut her pretty dress in pieces,
She was in tears and looked toward her boyfriend who
Was lifeless on the ground she knew that her fate was sealed.
Her make-up was washed by her tears,
Her beautiful hair do was like a battlefield
And the fear that was pounding in her heart was her only facial expression
And her attacker was enjoying the show.
So she closed her eyes and said,
“Lord I know that I have been out of control and you might not even know me but please remember my mom’s prayers and rescue me…”
and something happened, she started speaking in unknown tongues and her predators got scared and they asked her what she was saying, and the one that pinched her to the ground was really shaken and said, I think this chick is crazy, she is putting a curse on us, I can’t feel my hands, and he looked at her in a great fear as if he has seen a ghost and both of them ran in their car and drove off. She sat there in the cold of the night and shaken by all that happened and the tears were like a veil on her face . A few minutes later, a couple who drove by, noticed her and quickly stopped to check on her. They called the police, and they kept her company until the authorities arrived. Later on that day, when she was reunited with her mom, she melted in her arms and said, “He gave me a second chance, Mom” and they hugged each other with a grateful heart and they knew that their relationship will never be the same.

Single .... you said......

He was different from all the other men that ever crossed her path,
He was not after a one night stand or any eventual date,
He was not trying to hit on,
Nor did he tried to lure her, or shower with compliments
To get something out of the deal,
And after he spoke to her for a while,
About food for the mind and gave her bread of life to nimble on,
He asked her to bring her husband,
But she replied that she was single,
Single you said,
I guess you are right,
I guess you have been freed from every complication,
I guess that you are over all those you ever married,
All those who ever touched you and bruised your spirit,
I guess that they don’t have power over you anymore,
You will not fall for their charming looks
Or melt again under the sound of their voices,
I guess that you will not run back to them again,
and be used and rejected again,
So single you said,
I guess you are healed from all the scars and the wounds that they inflicted you,
Single you said, because you are ready to move forward,
And leave all that luggage behind,
Single you said, not because you wake up in an empty bed in the morning
But romanced all night long,
Single you said, are you ready to be committed,
Have you divorced all the others,
Because I am not looking for a date,
I don’t want to be a substitute,
But I long for an everlasting relationship with you,
All I ever desired is a closer and deeper walk with you,
Single, you say…. Will you give me your heart,
Single you said but are you available
Will you give me the wheel,
Single you Said…. Are you ready to take my hand and be COMPLETE….
Just say, "Yes" and thirst no more....

No Sir... I am not Drunk

She replied.. No sir, I am not DRUNK

and if you spend one day in my world,

you would understand my sorrow,

you would understand how I ache & I don’t blame you if you think that way,

I have been labeled worse in my life but I thirst after a divine intervention in my situation

and I am just pouring my soul out unto the Only One

who can heal the pain & mend the broken pieces,

so please Believe with me ~ Hannah a Prayer Warrior ~

You might be misunderstood at first but if you are pregnant with a dream, hold on to it till it come forth, till it become manifest than others can finally See, what you SAW...

Total surrender....

Often a person’s life is so shattered, it’s like …
A pillow busted by the punches of life
And all the feathers are spread all over
And she tries to place them back together,
The more she tries, the more confused she gets….
Often a person’s life is like….
That big puzzle and there are so many missing parts,
And she looks in all directions and in so many people,
in hope to find some clues, to have a hint…
It feels like an unsolved mystery
Because she searches in the wrong places,
And when she thinks that she has the right piece
Then she realizes that no substitute can suffice,
She needs the Authentic and original connection,
she needs to go back to the source itself
And as that thirst gets deeper in her,
As her life gets messier…
Then finally she surrenders,
And falls on her knees with bitter tears and says ,
Lord, I can’t do it on my own…
And suddenly all the pieces are mended together,
Grace shines upon her and
she can see the creator's fingerprints on the canvas of her life…
And she becomes a vessel unto honor, unto destiny….

True Identity

A person may hear most of her life…
You don’t have what IT takes,
Don’t get your hope so high,
You can’t get that far because you have a past.…
then she opens the BOOK, she reads..
You can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you…
Out of your belly rivers of living water shall flow…
If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed,
You are more than a conqueror
and when she embraces the Truth about herself
then a journey of purpose commences and the yokes are broken!
Now she knows that she can be ALL that she was created to be!!!

The Full Armor of God!

"The enemy has more than one trick in his hat, you may be able to spot one but do not get too comfortable because when you unmask one, he comes back with a more appealing~subtle~crafty~seductive one...Therefore put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD.

Haiti ... A Nation of Survivors....

“we made it through embargo, we made it through tornado, we made it through coups and hoops, we will huddle in his embrace and we will make it through the rubble, because our God changes not.”

"We have been stereotyped and labeled... Vodoo nation .... boat people... poorest country in the West Hemisphere... but We know in whom we trust, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.. and He will see us through... There is a Remnant..."

Haiti in my mind...

As my country is shaken in her foundation,
the cries of her children rise in the heart of devastation
and the images of sorrow cast a shadow over the land
and some of us long to hear from a loved one
and the road to recovery seems shallow,
but we know that GOD is in CONTROL
and we will hold on to His unchanging hands
because Him alone can restore His people,
heal the land,mend the broken vessels and send a rainbow."

An Angel

She was an eighteen month old infant, a little princess,
Not in her baby crib with the sound of the rattles,
Or kicking her feet with her baby bottle,
She was there in a hole under the debris for three days,
and it felt as if the whole universe collapsed around her;
she was not in the comforting arms of her parents,
she did not even know if she will ever see them again.
so she stayed there and wondered deep inside
where was the loving voice that usually sung her a lullaby,
where were those warm hands that usually nourished her,
so she closed her eyes and fought to stay awake
then she heard voices from afar,
there she saw a ray of light and she knew
that it was not too late and she cried pitifully
and her cry was so heartfelt and profound
that it pierced through the deadly rubbles and lifeless debris,
she cleaved to life with every fiber of her little and fragile body
and she was heard and was rescued then
an innocent smile brighten her brown eyes.
She knew that her heart will go on even though
around her were unfamiliar faces but she knew
that the same guardian angel who sheltered her in the cold
and the dark and through the storm,
that same guardian angel who shield her
from that furious earthquake would care for her,
she was a survivor…

~~~That’s the inspiration that came to my heart as I watched the rescue of an 18 month old baby basically out of the grave~~
Pregnant with Purpose...
When a woman is about to give birth,
she no longer worries about her make-up,
she no longer worries about the way she looks,
or what her surrounding may think....
and at that point only one thing matters,
is to bring that baby into the world...
She shed some tears,
and she presses on,
She hurts and she pushes harder...
And this analogy is to say that we are all
pregnant with a purpose
and we will not birth it without shedding some tears,
without the encounter of some pain and challenges...
But keep the vision in mind, and Push...
The harder the obstacles... Press on...
The closer the contractions... the closer the breakthrough....
The more intense the pain...The closer the delivery... PUSH .....
I did not walk in your shoe....
A person falls down...
will I be quick to stomp on her character..
will I be the one spreading the news all over town like a wildfire,
will I fuel the gossip and take away from her every hope to stand up again
or will I point her to the Restorer/ the Master..??
because I did not walk one day in her shoe
and I don't know what it's like to be her...
But I know what it takes to be made whole again:
His grace is ENOUGH!
"His love reaches to the highest mountain.
His love stretches to the lowest valley.
His love will never fail..
Just call upon Him....You can GET BACK UP AGAIN."
Jesus Loves you!!!
What happened?
"Even if Balak gave me his palace filled with silver and gold, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the LORD my God. “ what a bold declaration! that was his statement,
How did you come to compromise….
What happened along the way...?
WHAT was the PRICE BALAAM…?
Because the next day, he saddled his donkey,
And was in route in pursuit for the very thing,
that he said he would not settle for…
and he was so consumed with greed
and in such state of rebellion against God
that his spiritual eyes were shut and he could not discern the move of God…
And he had a flat out conversation with a donkey…
Someone can be in such state of lethargy
That their spirit becomes so insensitive to the things of God,
That it would take a while for them to wake up…
But one thing is certain is that God knows how to get someone’s attention when He wants to.....
Did you get the memo?
When this adversary realized that he could not defeat the Children of Israel, because there was something special about them, he decided to bribe one of their own, a prophet to formulate curses over them but HE MUST NOT HAVE READ THE MEMO....YOU CAN NOT CURSE WHAT GOD HAS BLESSED.....and every time Balaam would open his mouth to do the dirty job which he was PAID for... BLESSINGS came forth!
A Journey of Hope
I saw a people in tear,
I saw so many faces in fear,
I saw my children eyes,
In those infants cries,
I read the distress in what was left
Of the beautiful edifices that now look like skeletons ,
I can hear the brokenness
In the mom’s heart,
As the ray of sunshine
Tells her that she was alive
And she looks behind
In search for her child’s smile
But only a lifeless debris stared at her ,
I saw the beautiful Champs de Mars turned into a refugee camp…
And I remember my several promenades under a promising sky,
While the merchants said, men machann papita, men bon fresco,
And the kids on their bikes go around the park and intrigued by the statue of the Unknow slave,
What we call….Neg marron…
I remember the group of students would gather on the Champs de Mars boulevard
To study for their high school diploma, what we call “Baccalaureat” ….
On January 12, tragedy struck the land,
And the parents are heartbroken and homeless,
The children are orphans and hopeless,
I saw a people in tears,
But I saw miracles in the midst of the storm,
As their universe crumbled I can hear their faith rise from the rubble
To give thanks unto God and run in his arms…
I saw a young man who manages to offer his service by selling batteries
To recharge cell phones,
And I say to myself, Haiti will not die, God is recharging the batteries of our hearts
And the people will stand with one voice and sing praises unto Him…
I can hear that Haitian phrase…
“Tout otan tet nou pa koupe, nou espere met chapo”
Equivalent to….. where there is life, there is hope…. The Journey….
Mom
"We wear a lot of hats as women, and being a Mom, fits just right even without prior fitting, because the design is from above."
Diary of a "Bad woman"
DEAR DIARY...
I still quiver when I remember that day
which could have been the worse day of my life,
I should have been dead and in my grave,
I believed that man and all of his promises
Though I knew he was already taken,
But I trusted his advances as a token of love,
I admit, I fell for the wrong guy…
But I thought that he would stand by me,
I thought it would be just us against all odds,
Then came that day when there were persistent knocks on the door,
And I thought that maybe he forgot something,
We had such a good time the night before,
But when I answered the door,
There stood an angry crowd,
And I felt so ashamed and I could not hide my nudity,
Then I was dragged without mercy,
Through the little city as the crowd grew bigger on the scene,
And I could not look at anybody in the eyes,
I knew the despise that I inspired and I was traumatized…
So like a trapped animal,
With the sound of fear pounding in my chest,
I waited… I already knew my fate…
There was no time to be remorseful,
They called me all kind of names,
I knew they will not be merciful,
But I brought that upon myself,
So I closed my eyes and anticipated,
The impact of that first stone against my body,
I could already picture my beauty fade away
I could already hear my bones crack within me like a shattered glass
Under the impact of the stones,
And not much would be left of my pretty face,
Everything would be gone just like my self image,
I wish I had thought it through,
Did it worth it,
A moment of pleasure but love with measure and
Here I was all alone and nobody inquired about his whereabouts…
“this is it… I thought….I blew it...I already knew the verdict,
so I awaited the sentencing with tears running down my face…
But something happened… when I was at my worst,…
When I was at the lowest point of my life… Love lifted me,
the veil of shame fell on the ground...
When I was the least deserving and my actions were tasteless and ungracious… Mercy said NO…
And I was given a second chance to start anew,
I was given a second chance to be all that I was created to be…
And months later, this man who left me to die by myself,
under the hands of an angry crowd,
Called me and said that he was sorry,
That he did not know about the whole ordeal that I went through until later on,
And that he still loved me and he had the guts to suggest
that we continue our relationship where we left off…
But I told him that I found true love,
I told him no hard feelings, but no thanks!
I told him That I was blind but now I see,
That I was lost but now I am found...
(Inspired by the story of the woman caught in adultery ~ I pray that it blesses someone)
The real Me....
Don’t look at the color of my skin,
To estimate how far I can go,
Don’t let the history of my ancestors,
Give you the wrong idea,
I am equipped with purpose,
I am not bound to a culture,
I am a citizen of the world,
And it's in me to make history…
See beyond my culture, see beyond my skin color,
Because my mind is not bound by any stigmata, any stereotype….
And every opportunity is a trademark for Destiny.
I may have not choose my origins and my ethnic backgrounds...
But I choose the kind of person I want to be,
Purpose driven and the sky is the limit…
Sweet Mom
You leaped for joy
when you found out that you were expecting,
They say that you carried me for 40 weeks,
I was nourished through the umbilical cord,
I don't understand it, but I accept it,
You watched me grow from embryo,foetus to a baby,
got excited every time you looked at me on the monitor
and see my tiny little bones slowly shaping,
I made you sick at times
I could hear your nocturne tears
and feel your pain when you couldn't hold anything down...
I took some of your beauty away at times,
your silhouette lost of its curves as i got bigger....
You still were not ashamed of me
you still would smile as you looked in the mirror
and rubbed your belly with pride.
Then you started glowing as the dates got closer
and you would be day dreaming as you stared at the layettes and the rattles
and from within your heart you would start humming baby songs.....
Then came the big day
when I got evicted from my cozy space,
to a cold and noisy place
I came out screaming
and there, so many unfamiliar faces around me,
that for the first time I was afraid,
who gonna nourish me now,
who gonna protect me now,
where is my warm blanket of love,
But my fear vanished very soon
when you held me against your heart,
eventhough I was dripping wet,
you kissed me on the forehead and
when I looked into your eyes,
I saw so much love,promises and hope,
I knew then who you were
You were "Mom" and I knew then that I was gonna be Fine!
You could have got rid of me
but you held on to Me
as a gift from above
and I thank you for that.
Thank you for bringing me to the World
And I vow to cherish you as long as I have the breath of life,
I love you Sweet Mom.
Turn the Giants into stepping stones....
“Often, the giants in a person's life may have had an initial assignment to bruise her to the core and serve as a barrier so she wouldn't reach her full potential but with an attitude of praise, with a heart of worship, they can also usher her into greater purposes: So The greater the giants, expect greater blessing and fight the good fight of faith."
DISLIKE
Often people have made up their mind about you, they have decided that they would not like you whether you do good or bad and you might miss the journey trying to figure out where you went wrong; why they feel the way they do but if your heart is right than that’s all that matters because you have an advocate who can plead and win your every cause:
HAMAN and MORDECAI
Haman did not know who he messed with,
When he decided that He was gonna persecute Mordecai,
That he could order his execution at the click of a finger,... ...
(for no apparent reason, he just decided that he was not gonna like him, He just decided that he could not stand him, ..
He pulled all the strings that he had and concocted a nice little plan to get rid of him once and for all….
(And maybe if someone had asked him: why don’t you like that guy? he seems to be an Okay guy...
He would answer… I don’t know, I just DON’T LIKE HIM and He got to GO…)
“Saying, Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm”. Psalm 105:15
When people think evil towards you,
And who knows how they try to harm you
You don’t have to seek revenge,
You don’t have to fight that battle,
Because you are the Apple of God’s eye
and no weapon formed against you shall prosper…
Learn to stand STILL and STEADFAST in your faith and let HIM fight your battles!!!
The battle is the Lord's
"A person may dislike you and "it's okay" because you can't appeal to everyone and it can be classified as a "private matter" but when that person takes that feeling of hatred a step further and wish to harm you then soon she will realizes that she has crossed the line and has brought the matter into God's juris...diction to be heard where the Truth nothing but the truth shall prevail....."
Saying, Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm”. Psalm 105:15
News flash
"Out of your belly....(Not aborted dreams, not rejection, not barrenness, not seeds of doubt, not mediocrity...but ) Rivers of living water shall flow because you carry Purpose in the inside of you...."
Whose report will you believe???
There will be some negative reports but it is up to you what you choose to believe?
There will be some challenges along the way, but is up to you how you choose to respond...
there will be people telling you what you can't do,.... See More
they will be nice enough as to give you
convincing "FACTS" on why you would fail if you even TRY...
(You are not talented enough/you have a past/ your family got a history)
But you have God’s promises for your life, so whose report will you believe?
Greater is He that’s in you than He that is in the World,
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you,
I don’t know what you’ve been told but you are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus…
So to whatever element with the agenda to hinder you from reaching your potential ....Let this be your answer: “I am Well Able”…. just as Joshua said.... and be all that He created you to be….Because He is a Faithful God!!!
(Don't believe the spies' report...)
God's favor!!!
“You may not be the first person that comes to mind for a position that would lead to great opportunities, you may not have the recommendation that you banked on to climb the ladder within the company but if God is on your side, there is no door that he can’t open on your behalf and the beauty of it is that there is no need to compromise.“
DAVID ~ CHOSEN....
"Are these all the sons you have?"
Imagine a “stranger” asking a parent that question… ...
He must have been real frustrated…first interview/encounter with son #1.…
no… he is not the one
and the process went on till number #7... I don’t understand… (paraphrase)
I know God does not make any mistake…
and I came here to anoint a King among your sons…
Finally that rung a bell….
Oh…My bad… there is a last one,
the youngest one,
he is in the field, tending the sheep…”
what are you waiting for… Go get HIM….
He is the ONE, God has chosen Him!!!
"Man looks at the outer appearance but God searches the heart…"
Love is not blind!!!
“Even though Samson was a strong individual, even though he knew that this woman he was in a relationship with was a “double agent” and yet because of her persistence and (maybe because of her charms), he gave in and revealed his most precious secret… So the question would be, why entertain company which seeks to destr...oy you, why nurture a relationship to your own detriment…”
A person can be strong morally and maybe spiritually and often she convinces herself that she can change someone else and ventures in a relationship (in spite of any red flags or facts) and as days go by all her walls are slowly broken and her identity slowly forgotten and she becomes the shadow of herself and does not even have the desire to break... See More free and she ends up "TRAPPED"...
We know that there is hope through prayer because prayer changes things as well as people...but often the whole situation could have been avoided by using sound judgment!
Often ...."Prevention is better than cure"
An on-time God!
Often we pray and we WANT Him to intervene RIGHT AWAY but often also He allows a situation to worsen, often He allows a condition to deteriorate to teach us patience, to teach us perseverance; He may not come when we want him to but He is an on-time God. ~ And He got IT (whatever IT maybe) under control.
Just imagine what must have gone through their heads..
the two sisters: (Mary and Martha)
who sent news to Jesus about their brother who was sick…
They knew that He could heal him but He did not come right away…
Now the situation was “hopeless” and they say… it’s too late… He is dead…... ... ...
But nothing is impossible to our God…...
And often He allows all doors to close on our noses,
He allows an offer to be turned down,
Because greater glory will be given unto Him
in the mighty way in which He will get you out
and you will know that only God could have done it,
Not your social connections, not your personal resources but only God could have done it!!!
Inspiration
After you have done your best, after you have exhausted all your personal resources, and IT did not work out the way you expected, now stand still and let Him do His BEST."
RELATIONSHIPS
"Often it's not about being an expert in relationships or about being a Bible scholar to guarantee a successful marital relationship but it's also about seeking God's approval in choosing that eventual mate through prayer and if sometimes we can't discern His answer, we can always refer to his word where He still SPEAK...S... and stand upon that foundation: Psalm 127:1."1Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."
DENIAL
“Often a person has an issue and maybe because of fear, chooses to cover it up rather than facing it ; and that person becomes so vulnerable emotionally and even though she places a fence around her and locks everyone out…(DO NOT TRESPASS) she is still in pain…It’s is like a rock stuck in her shoe which bruises her to ...the core every time she takes a step, it is like that toothache which turns her smile into a frown…
It is like that infecting dressing on a wound ….
BUT…
If she only knew that there is a Surgeon always on duty,
who never takes a day off…....
A Surgeon who can mend every broken vessel,
Who can heal every wound and remove every scar ~
If she only knew that there is a Jeweler who can restore
Beauty unto her and refine her soul….
A Designer who can trade her garment of shame for a garment of grace,
If she only knew…. She could be made whole again,
If she only knew….
His name is Jesus and He is just a prayer away!
Two men...
Two men went up to the temple to pray,
one instead of addressing his own issues,
instead of exposing his own wounds so he could be healed,
found a false sense of security/self-justification...
a nice “feel good blanket” in the next man's condition
who apparently looked broken and in pieces
and he left that place of res...toration,
as empty, as shattered as he came.
The broken man on the other hand...
knew that his righteousness was as filthy rags and humbly,
poured his soul out unto the One who searches every heart,
and He was restored....
They say…“People Who Live In Glass Houses Should Not Throw Stones ~”
A sinner pointing the finger at another,
to justify or minimize his shortcomings...
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
What makes me think that I see clearly
that I can tell someone to remove a speck from his eye…..
Without taking a prior look in the mirror for a self examination,
How can I rejoice over my brother/sister brokenness
So I can feel good about myself,
And pat myself on the back and say,
“I am not doing that bad, that person is doing worse”
And carry on with business as usual,
with no desire to make a “U turn…
Because someone else is doing worse,
Salvation is personal, I can’t justify my walk in the light of someone else’s fall…
I have to be able to see myself in the mirror,
And not associate that image with anything else
To justify why I went wrong, why I messed up….
But take full responsibility for my actions…
And the beauty of it… I don’t have to carry that load on my shoulder either…
I don’t have to drag that heavy luggage behind me,
But there is a place where I can lay it all down and experience amazing grace…
There.......at the feet of the Master....
(Based on the Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector ....)
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. Psalm 34:6
By:MT
Makeover
Many corrective ways are provided to attenuate a physical scar.. a little make-up sometimes can do the trick & depending on the depth of it, plastic surgery would be the ultimate…but to embellish a bruised spirit, to fill the void of a soul and remove that "indelible stain", to rebuild the inner man and experience uns...peakable joy…There is only ONE Way,there is only ONE Specialist…& the procedure is already PAID for!
Inspiration
"Because your steps are ordered of the Lord, every opportunity is a step stone to your destiny, so whatever you do, do it heartily."
Do not despise even the least capacity that you may be operating or serving in, remain faithful, because the Champion in you will rise and shine at the appointed time."
When David was instructed by his father to check on his brothers and to take some food to them and their commander,
Maybe many would have thought that it was just a routine task,
A simple request inspired by a paternal instinct…
but it was more than that…... ... See More
It was a Divine appointment,
It was a moment preordained for Him
to step into greater purpose and defeat the giant along the way.“
What goes around!!!
Often someone may have cut corners,
got over so many times that she may think
that she beat the record,
SAVED BY THE BELL...
but life is a teacher and often the traits of character that a person exhibits
at the expense of others will come back at some point
in her own backyard for a rematch.
He was a master at trickery,...
he was very aggressive when it comes to opportunities….
and maybe he could care less about hurting people’s feeling,
provided he got something out of the deal…
Maybe if he lived in today’s age,
he would be a shrewd (cold/ manipulative) businessman,
he would use insider trading information
to know when to buy and sell stocks….ect..
with no regards to business protocol or ethics....
He tricked his brother, stole his birthright,
he tricked his dad and usurp the blessing…
and maybe he never pictured that at some point in his life,
that he would have a taste of his own medicine….
But on his honeymoon, he sadly found out
That he married the wrong bride,
He found out that he was scammed…
(You got seven more years to go…Bro…"Coby"...)
What goes around comes around….
When someone uses trick, ruse, deception, scam, lie… etc…
want to double crossed, he/she should expect that aroma to follow her….
Yes yokes and generational curses are broken when someone comes to the faith but there is a natural law still in effect :
You reap what you saw….
Let us saw seeds of honor, love, respect, compassion, trust ,
Let us cultivate a noble character,
Worthy of the excellence of our calling….
Actions speak louder than words…
and at the end of the day we don’t have to fear no ghosts
from the past coming to haunt us, He has set us free, let‘s be free indeed…
(And again...it's another proof that God is no respecter of persons.... He uses imperfect people and uses them in their imperfection to bring about his perfect plan... but that's another message for another day...)
Cotton Candy
“Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.” (HOW SWEET…on the surface this was such an innocent inquiry, but dig deeper…the motives weren‘t …) you can’t outsmart God, you can’t abort or alter His plan for his people, yes the so...n of Man will lay down his life but not on your own terms, not before completing the missionwhich he came for… “
“For unto us a child is born and the government shall be on his shoulder….”
A similar scenario happened with Moses (who is a shadow of our Savior), Pharaoh tried to kill him as an infant, before he could enter his purpose and rescue God’s people… but when God has appointed you for a job, when He wants to bring about something in your life, no principality on earth or in heaven shall stand on the way.!!!!...
Do not fear even a multitude against you because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.!!!
Broken but not Forgotten.....
I remember as a child… looking through the window
And there was a bird in the front yard,
And I ran outside to have a closer look before he could fly,
But strangely my footsteps did not startle it,
And it did not try to get away either,
So I picked it up with such joy because it was not
an every ...day privilege to hold a bird in the palm of your hand,
Usually it would instinctively fly away….
And as I looked closer, I noticed that one of its wing was broken,
And I pat it gently and put it back on the ground…
And I observed it for a while, it was detached from all the other birds,
who was flying in the blue sky in a V shape…
It could not fly, it could not soar as high as he used to….
It was just a childhood memory ….
But as I grow older and observe the scenery of what is going on around us….
I come to think that there are a lot of people just like that little bird,
They are hurting because life did not turn out the way they expected…
Maybe because a relationship did not work out,
And the person who promised them on the altar to stick with them “For better or for worse”, walked away and never looked back,
Maybe because someone hurt them in the past,
And they don’t have the strength to forgive,
And they carry that bitterness around,
And that feeling is so heavy in their heart that they can’t fly,
they can’t move on with their lives…
or maybe because they believe the lies of the enemy,
And just like that little bird, they live below their full potential,
Or maybe because they experienced a lost
and life does not have any meaning anymore….
But did you know that in spite of whatever you may have gone through,
It is not over... God has purpose for your life,
It is not too late to reach for the stars,
It is not too late to be all that He created you to be,
It is in you, it is time to reach from within and rise above it all…
It is time to take His hands and get back up again,
It is time to say… Lord I can’t do it on my own….
Come to my rescue….
He can dry the tears away,
He can repair that broken heart and place forgiveness in the inside of you
so you can live again, dream again, hope again….
He can repair that broken wing and heal that wound so you can …. SOAR…..
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous.Isaiah 41:10
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
God bless!!!
